Its purpose is to evaluate the effectiveness, safety and tolerability of a research medication that is injected once a week for weight loss and potential improvement of cardiovascular and weight related risk factors compared to a placebo.

Study Details:
The purpose of this clinical trial is to evaluate the effectiveness, safety and tolerability of a research medication that is injected once a week for weight loss and potential improvement of cardiovascular and weight related risk factors compared to a placebo.
What is required?
- Highly motivated to achieve weight loss
- Dietary and physical activity counseling at most visits
- Weekly self-injections
- Willing to participate for about 114 weeks or more with at least 14 visits and 7 remote visits and follow study procedures including but not limited to lifestyle advice, maintain a diary and complete questionnaires.
- Blood draws at most visits
Who can participate?
Must be 18 and older and diagnosed with:
- Cardiovascular Disease (previous heart or vascular problems (examples: heart attack, stroke, revascularization procedure (stents etc.), heart failure etc.
- BMI ≥ 27
- History of some attempt at dietary weight loss.
