Study for People with Type 2 Diabetes who Take Metformin
Do you have Type 2 Diabetes? Maybe your glucose is not controlled, or you may need to lose some weight. If you are interested in helping develop a new treatment for people like you, this study may be for you.
What Does this Study Require?
- Study commitment of up to 43 weeks
- 15 in office visits and several phone visits
- Continuous glucose monitor for 10 days at 3 different time points
- 24 hour blood pressure monitoring on 2 occasions
- Multiple blood draws
- Daily injection of investigational study medicine with an easy-to-use injection pen once a week or a pill
Who Can Participate?
- Must be 18 – 75 years of age with a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes for more than 3 months
- BMI > 23 with a HbA1c 7.0 – 10%
- Must be on a stable dose of specific diabetic medications;
- Other participation criteria will be discussed with the study team
