COVID Booster Study: Ages 12+

*Note: Patients must live within a 1-hour drive of Nashville, Tennessee.

SARS-CoV-2 variants have emerged and are likely to continue to emerge. These variants have the potential to circumvent immunity associated with previous infections and/or vaccinations. It is important to develop a bivalent (contains 2 variants of the virus) vaccine(s) that effectively targets both current and future variants. The purpose of this study is to compare the safety, effectiveness and immune response of two different bivalent vaccines.

What to expect in the study

All participants will receive a bivalent booster. There are NO placebos in this research study. The study will last for approximately 12 months and will include 5 office visits and three phone calls. You will receive compensation for your time and travel.

Who can participate?

This study may be an option for individuals 12 years and older who:

Have received a primary series of Moderna or Pfizer COVID vaccine
Have had 0, 1, or 2 booster doses
Are relatively healthy
